McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Concrete Patchers for our projects across Phoenix, Arizona. Position will include some travel to Tucson and Sedona, subsistence package provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with concrete patch mix or epoxy compound.
• Chip, grind and repair horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces
• Patch and rub surfaces to smooth or sand finish.
• Use air or electric jack hammers and repairs old concrete surfaces
• Communicates to Patch Crew Foreman on regular basis to ensure an adequate supply of materials used in finishing and patching are on hand and that all equipment is in safe working condition. Reports problems as needed.
• Place the patch mix
• Texture the patch to match the panel
• Weigh the correct proportions (From the approved patch mix design) of materials needed in the patch mix.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in concrete patching or finishing. Commercial environment strongly preferred.
• Flexible schedule for work hours
• Ability to use ladders/stairs and tie-off to forms and lifts
• Experience with patching that meets ACI Standards for horizontal and vertical applications.
• Ability to verify levelness or verticality.
• Ability to work without close supervision and be able to adapt to a wide variety of conditions.
• Takes pride in craftsmanship.
• Bilingual or Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
• Works within precise standards of accuracy.
• Hardworking individual with a positive attitude and great work ethic.
