MCI is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent based in Effingham, IL.
Our Superintendent is responsible for working closely with fellow team members to ensure accuracy on the job sites and assist in project completion and troubleshooting. This position oversees the onsite concrete paving, dirt and pipe operations
on multiple projects through managing the daily onsite work and records, tracking production quantities, and verifying employee time. As superintendent, you'll be asked to working alongside the PM to manage subcontractors. In addition, the Superintendent is key to ensuring both the safety of our team, along with making sure all safety requirements are met for the clients. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, communication and critical thinking.
What makes you successful in this position?
- 10 years' experience in the heavy highway industry, with at least five of those being in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Familiarity with the local unions and experience working with them.
- Previous leadership experience and a team player mentality, with the desire to be a part of a successful, hardworking team at a Superintendent level.
- Strong understanding of technology and the ability to use an iPad and computer regularly.
- A safety-oriented mindset and the ability to travel within a 2-hour radius, as this position will be working in multiple environments.
- Superior time management and leadership skills.
The pay range for this position is $100,000-$120,000. The minimum qualifications for this role are possession of a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
