Heat Treater

Overview
We are seeking skilled Heat Treaters to join our team in the Houston, Texas area. Compensation is $25.00 and up based on experience. These will be rotational roles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the heat treatment of metal components, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards. This role is critical in enhancing the durability and performance of materials used in various applications. The Heat Treater will work closely with other team members to maintain efficient production processes while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

• Operate heat treating furnaces and equipment to process metal components according to established procedures.
• Monitor temperature and time settings to ensure proper heat treatment cycles are achieved.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess the hardness and quality of treated materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to determine treatment requirements.
• Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading components from furnaces using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Collaborate with CNC operators and other factory personnel to coordinate workflow and ensure timely production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance on heat treating equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a refinery environment, specifically in heat treating.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery, lathes, and other factory equipment is a plus.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments for quality assurance checks.
• Ability to operate forklifts and perform materials handling tasks safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 – 84 per week
