What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at McCarty and Company Construction?
McCarty and Company Construction is looking for a motivated and reliable small equipment operator for wet utility service installation.
Equipment Operator Responsibilities:
- Maneuvering motorized equipment (mini ex/skid steer) to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.
- Must do an inspection of equipment before operating and turn in the checklist daily to Site Forman.
- Loading and offloading materials and debris needed for daily operation.
- ALWAYS Observing stipulated safety codes.
- Communicating with coworker's the project specifications, as needed.
- Advising the Site Forman of all upgrades, repairs, and replacements
- Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
- Stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to climb ladders frequently.
- Must have full mobility of extremities to include but not limited to Kneeling, stooping, crouching crawling, stretching, bending, twisting & climbing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Colorado State Driver's License.
- Prior experience operating a variety of equipment.
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
- Capacity to provide and follow directions.
- Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
- Ability to work extended hours, as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
