Job Overview
McCarty Architects is looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. A project coordinator is involved in all project phases from beginning to end. The position requires someone who can manage time effectively to meet deadlines. The hire must work well with a team but be able to make informed decisions independently. The ideal candidate has a well-developed understanding of the AE/C industry and can manage construction documents. We have a close-knit firm and take pride in our work. Qualifications
- Associate degree or 3-5 years of experience in construction/architecture industry.
- Three or more years of experience in construction services, administrative support, or contract administration.
- Understanding of the construction industry and processes including public bid process, and AIA documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Organized and capable of multi-taking.
- Willingness to assist wherever needed within office.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in all phases of project work, including transmittals, meeting minutes, punch lists, change orders, and finish schedules.
- Preparation of project specification manuals for multiple phases (i.e. SD, DD, CD, and Bid Documents).
- Manage multiple projects from start up to close out.
- Effectively relevant project information to the client and project team to keep projects on schedule.
- Create reports and spreadsheets, assist in tracking financials, and flag potential issues.
- Create Bid Tab and populate with bids for each project. Submit with cover letter to Owner for approval to proceed with Contracts.
- Preparation of contracts, change orders, CCD, ASI, PR, and all other American Institute of Architects (AIA) electronic documents. Create, download, print to color, scan in color, and add signatures and backup as required.
- Close-outs – Provide initial review of close-out documents verifying specifications are met and corresponding with Contractor until all required documents ready for Architect, CA or Engineer review.
- Preform other duties as assigned.
