Job Description:
The function of the Lead Patient Access Representative is to provide leadership, communication, and training to the registration team of MCCH. The Lead Patient Access Representative provides continuity during the initial and ongoing training of staff who have the responsibility for registering patients following established policies and procedures. Works cooperatively with the Patient Access Patient Liaison, Patient Access Coordinator, and Patient Access Registration Clerks and is responsible for knowing /doing all aspects of the Patient Access Registration Clerk duties. Position is responsible for training new staff, assisting in the planning and development of training materials, assisting in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and serving as a go to resource for registration clerks. The Lead will serve as the first line of escalation for staff questions on workflow and processes.
Minimum Education:
- Associate degree in Business, Finance and Health Info Management, or related field is preferred.
Minimum Work Experience:
- 5 years registration experience in a hospital or clinical setting with emphasis on patient contact and accuracy is required.
