Position Summary: This position observes machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
Description of Duties:
- Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separates rejected items
- Secure finished packaged items with the proper sealants
- Sort, grade, weigh, inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications
- Stack finished packaged
- Package the product in the form in which it will be sent out
- Count and record finished and rejected packaged items
- Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items
- Supply materials to spirals conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices
- Monitor continuous metal detection, record, and report deviations to supervisor
- Responsible for monitoring food safety
- Consistently complete 300 bags per shift
- Lift 25lb-50lb bags as well as cases
- Practice safe working standards outlined by the company
- Be actively engaged in maintaining production floor safety by annotating safety violations
- Consistently work scheduled shift and be on time for work
- Monitor food safety to make sure non-conformities are caught before items are shipped out
- Ensure no bad product is being bypassed and sent to customers
- Properly seal all packages to avoid spills or leaks of finished products
- Follow safety procedures outlined by the company
