Shift hours:
2nd- 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Description of Duties:
- Troubleshoot and correct weight issues.
- Make machine adjustments that will control weight variances maximizing the cost-effective filling of a high-quality product.
- Monitor label printing verifying filled bag meets specifications.
- Make machine adjustments that will control printing variances maximizing the cost effect filling of a quality product.
- Monitor bag seals verifying filled bag meets specifications.
- Make machine adjustments that will control seal issues maximizing the cost-effective filling of a high-quality product.
- Monitor the production line, for problems such as pileups, jams, bag seal issues.
- Troubleshoot and correct line problems maximizing the cost-effective filling of a high-quality product.
- Assist packers as needed.
- Stop, reset, and start machines when malfunctions occur maximizing the cost-effective filling of a high-quality product.
- Ensure paperwork, labels and boxes are ready as needed.
- Lead allergen wash efforts to disassemble, wash, sanitize and assemble equipment maximizing the changeover cost-effectiveness.
- Lead efforts to clean out, dissemble and assemble equipment maximizing the cost-effectiveness of the changeover.
- Clean packaging machines, conveying systems, and metal detectors.
- Complete all other tasks as assigned in a safe timely manner.
- Follow all SQF, GMPs, and work rules.
- Relieve packing operators if needed.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities among sets of letters, numbers, objects, pictures or patterns.
- Able to lift 55 pounds of raw material bags.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task on any type of project.
- Mechanical experience with some electrical skills.
