The Lexington Herald-Leader, judged to be the best newsroom in Kentucky by the state's press association, is seeking an ambitious reporter for a 10-week, paid internship position in our Lexington, Kentucky, office.
This is an on-site, hands-on opportunity to bolster reporting and writing skills while working with seasoned, award-winning editors and reporters. .
As a news intern, you can expect to : Be treated like a staff member..Be assigned to a senior-level mentor during the internship and receive coaching, training, and mentoring.Work with seasoned staffers and work directly with local leaders.

Previous experience reporting and / or producing for a student or professional news publication is mandatory. This internship program involves on-site work, so be prepared to live near our Lexington newsroom.
