We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Entry-Level Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist and support our project supervision and management on the development and implementation of workplace and safety programs on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The following are general responsibilities for the position:
Responsibilities:
- Coach and train Team Members and crews on safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct daily jobsite walks ensuring unsafe conditions and actions are corrected immediately.
- Coordinate with project supervision and management to resolve ongoing issues.
- Accompany any safety inspectors such as OSHA or Fire Marshals through our work areas.
- Attend different crews daily pre-tasks and assist trade foreman with conducting effective meetings.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices.
- Order, store, and distribute PPE and safety items.
- Conduct new hire safety orientations.
- Conduct weekly training modules at weekly safety meetings and setup hands on demonstrations where applicable.
- Address recurring safety issues with superintendents and foreman in daily foreman meetings.
- Attend any project specific required safety meetings with other trades and owners.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures when necessary.
- Transport and/or accompany injured Team Members to medical facility to facilitate care.
- Support incident investigations, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Exemplify a strong safety culture.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
- Work well with others and be highly supportive of a strong safety team culture.
- Knowledge of OSHA construction regulations.
- Mobile equipment training experience a plus.
- Willingness to continuously learn new skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and related program software.
- Proven ability of organization and time management.
- Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Have or be working towards a BCSP or similar safety certification.
- Will be expected to visit different jobsites across the Bay Area, Northern California, and the Reno area on a regular basis.
- Will be expected at times to work outside of the range of normal jobsite work hours and occasionally on weekends.

Compensation and Benefits Include:
- Base Salary Range – $69,000 - $85,000 (DOE)
