Transportation Designer / Civil Designer
McClure is seeking a Transportation Civil Designer to join our newly established East Region Transportation team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts on a variety of high-visibility and critical projects, including the development of projects from conceptual design, to final design, and through construction. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all staff
- Ability to manage a fair workload by staying focused and managing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and helping the team produce a quality product
- Strong knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and other Engineering/Technical skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Educational and/or Experience Requirements:
· Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2 years of relevant experience as a civil engineering is preferred
- Experience related to concept development, including horizontal and vertical geometry
- Experience producing complete design plan sets, construction cost estimates, and special provisions
- Experience in stormwater/drainage design and hydrology/hydraulics design a plus
- Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience using MicroStation Open Roads Designer a plus
- Experience with MassDOT and/or MA municipal clients a plus
