Summary / Objective

McCollough Plastic Surgery and Med Spa is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will bring their expertise to enhance our clients' post-surgical recovery and overall wellness. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on medical aesthetics and client care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of massage techniques tailored to clients' needs, including therapeutic and relaxation modalities and specialized post-op care to help clients with recovery and wellness.
  • PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED : Perform manual lymphatic drainage massage, enhancing patient recovery and promoting healing, especially after surgical procedures. Manual lymphatic massage is used to help release body toxins, contour, reshape the silhouette, and slimming techniques.
  • Assess and consult with clients to determine the best approach for their care and wellness goals.
  • Build strong rapport with clients to ensure exceptional service and return visits.
  • Collaborate with the medical and spa teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Educate clients on post-treatment care and self-maintenance to enhance their recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and stay informed about the latest advancements in massage therapy through continuing education and professional development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting workspace in adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Alabama.
  • Minimum of two years of professional massage therapy experience.
  • Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) or Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, especially in a post-surgical context.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about promoting health and wellness.
