We are issuing this Call for CVs for qualified Instructors under an anticipated contract with the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center. Instructors will be based in the Continental United States (CONUS) and will be expected to appear in person to delivery training at training sites as directed (CONUS and OCONUS). The position description below details the anticipated duties and qualifications of the position, contingent upon contract award. - ICS 300 - Incident Command System 300
- ICS 300 Refresher - Incident Command System 300 Refresher
- ICS 400 - Incident Command System 400
- OHSTTX - Oil Hazardous Substance Spill Response Tabletop Exercise
- OSRO - Oil Spill Response Organization
- Develop targeted curricula and materials necessary to deliver trainings as well as necessary assessment tools to military personnel in courses on safety, occupational health, and environmental and emergency response.
- Utilize adult learning principles and experiential learning methodologies to engage participants.
- Incorporate educational technology and blended learning techniques, including Zoom for Government, Adobe Connect, and AI-supported instructional tools.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of learners and adjust instructional techniques to meet course objectives.
- Engage in project-based learning teams, participate in after-action reviews, and contribute to continuous curriculum improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: emergency response management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in oil spill management, oil transfer, ICS management, shipboard spill management, managing oil spill assets or any relevant experience in emergency response management
- In place of a BA and 5 years experience stated above, candidates may have a two-year Associate's degree in any of the following disciplines: emergency response management, industrial hygiene, environmental science or equivalent and seven (7) years or more of experience in oil spill management, oil transfer, ICS management, shipboard spill management, managing oil spill assets or any relevant experience in emergency response management
- In place of no degree, candidates must have ten (10) years or more of experience in oil spill management, oil transfer, ICS management, shipboard spill management, managing oil spill assets or any relevant experience in emergency response management
- 1 year of experience facilitating DoD or USCG ICS, Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (PREP) emergency response management tabletop experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Emergency Response Management.
- 1 year of experience teaching DOD or USCG personnel.
- US Citizen.
