What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Quick Service (Lube Tech) position at McConnell Automotive?
We are looking for Service technicians to join our quick service team. This position will primarily be performing oil changes, tire rotations, replacement & repairs as well as recommending wiper blades, engine/cabin air filters when needed. Depending on the experience of the individual, additional maintenance work can be performed. Individuals motivated to learn this trade will have opportunities to grow into a main shop mechanic. Prior experience with mechanical repair work is preferred but not required. Responsibilities
- Check and communicate oil level to teammates
- Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
- Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
- Complete vehicle inspection
- Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
- Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
- Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s comes first.
Qualifications
- Communication skills – communicates effectively with others.
- Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required.
