Bankruptcy Attorney seeks a legal assistant for a three to four (3-4) month contract position to work along with two other legal assistants in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions.
Great entry level position for individuals with an interest in the legal profession. Opportunity may exist for continued employment after contractual period.
Time Requirements
5 days per week (Monday through Friday) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This position requires working with the attorney and other legal assistants to prepare and file with the court Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions.
This position also requires drafting simple letters, pleadings, and doing light office duties such as answering phones, scanning, interacting with clients, etc.
The ideal candidate must be reliable and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
*Prior office experience is a plus.
*Prior customer service experience is a plus.
