McCord Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Field Services Technician at our Georgetown, Texas office. A technically minded individual who is self-motivated with a desire to learn electrical distribution design would excel at this position. Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications.

Examples of Duties:
- Assist in creating electric overhead and underground distribution designs using AutoCAD software for new power line installations
- Coordinate with landowners/developers/engineers/project managers/clients/contractors to create deliverable packages to fit the clients’ needs
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of electric utility industry codes and standards
- Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high standard for data quality, accuracy, and production
- Collect field data by utilizing surveying equipment, such as GNSS/RTK systems, GIS, measuring tools, and assorted field tools
- Demonstrate dependability whether in the office or in the field, subject to rough terrain and outdoor weather conditions
- Perform other duties and assignments as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience, education, or training in electrical engineering/design, surveying, lineman work, construction trades, utilities, GIS, and/or AutoCAD drafting/design, is a plus.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and excellent communication skills.
- General knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally as business needs arise.
