McCormack Baron is a company focused on transforming communities into places where all people can thrive. We were founded following the Rent Strikes in St. Louis in 1972 and have been steadfastly focused on shifting disinvested neighborhoods into thriving mixed income communities. McCormack Baron continues to trailblaze a model for Public Private Development Partnerships, working in 26 states and 47 cities across the country.
We are looking for applicants for our 2025 summer internship program. This internship will provide an excellent introduction to the various aspects of mixed-finance, mixed-income real estate development, including Human Resources and Corporate Communications. This experience will provide an opportunity to experience day-to-day tasks of working in the real estate development in urban revitalization, while learning essential skills and building relationships with professionals in the industry.
The internship is scheduled to begin June 2, 2025, and end, August 7, 2025. However, we are flexible on those dates based on availability. The interns will be paired with a team member in their area of interest, attend meetings, and work on projects. The interns will also be expected to participate in weekly intern class lessons, lunches, and projects. We are offering opportunities in:

Interns will work 32 hours a week in our Downtown St. Louis office, working Monday – Thursday for 10 weeks. We will place students in the department they are best suited in, fields they have shown a demonstrated interest in, and fields that align with their curriculum. General qualifications are:
- Applicants with experience and interest in their given field, including, but not limited to urban planning, public policy, law, business, architecture, urban design, or information technology
- Though traditionally our interns are students in undergraduate or graduate programs, we are excited to receive applications from applicants with a wide range of experiences
- Proficient in using technology to organize, plan, and communicate with internal and external team members
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proactive time management and the ability to be self-driven
- Strong motivation and a passion to work in urban development, especially in residential, mixed-income communities.
