McCormick Paints is seeking a Full Time Paint Maker for our Manufacturing Facility in Frederick, MD.
The Paint Maker is responsible for producing high-quality paint products by following precise formulations and manufacturing procedures. This role involves operating and maintaining various types of equipment, mixing raw materials, and ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met. The Paint Maker plays a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the manufacturing operations.
This position reports to the Production Manager and is supervised by the Fill crew Leader. The typical work schedule is Monday – Thursday, from 5:30am to 4:00pm. Occasional Friday work is required to meet manufacturing timeline needs.

Job Duties:
- Follow detailed formulas and work instructions to produce paint products
- Accurately measure, mix, and blend raw materials according to specifications
- Operate and monitor mixing machines, mills, forklifts, and pallet jacks
- Conduct quality control tests and adjust batches as needed under supervision
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling
- Maintain accurate production records and report material shortages
- Assist in receiving raw materials and inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth production flow
- Train new employees on procedures and safety standards
- Keep work areas clean, inspect equipment, and report maintenance issues
- Other duties may apply as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in manufacturing is a plus
- Previous experience in paint manufacturing or a similar production environment, preferred
- Basic understanding of chemistry and manufacturing processes
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and formulas accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to traverse the production facility
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to operate manufacturing and plant equipment (i.e.: forklift, electric pallet jack, dispensers, etc.)
