Senior Manager, Transportation Engineering

Position Summary

McCormick Taylor is seeking a Senior Manager, Transportation Engineer who will be an integral team member in establishing a vision for the Transportation Department including technical growth, staff mentorship, and project delivery. 

Responsibilities

• Participate in Transportation marketing meetings, support other discipline marketing efforts 
• Ability to lead Staff meetings supported by Manager 
• Oversee, coordinate, and assist with the completion of projects  
• QA/QC Submittals, Invoices, Client communications 
• Coordination and oversight to develop project deliverables 
• Mentor and teach staff 

Qualifications

• 20 plus years of experience in the design and management of highway/roadway, civil engineering and transportation projects for DOT, counties, and local municipalities (required)
• Minimum of five years professional experience managing staff 
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
• Professional Engineer license required
• Communicative leader with the ability to mentor staff   
• Continuing in development of staff to ensure a knowledgeable workforce 
• Growth facilitator ensuring we attract the best talent 
• Encourages staff participation and innovation 
• Experience with design and management of complex highway design, interstate reconstruction, interchange design, traffic control, drainage design, complex right of way plans, and knowledgeable of utility coordination and relocation
• Willing to assist project managers in the development of complex design projects
