Position Summary

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Structural/Bridge Engineer in our Structures Department. The primary duties are to perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations for various transportation structures in accordance with DOT and AASHTO. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment.  We are seeking an individual who can handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well in hybrid remote office environment. Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills, attention to detail and ability to organize is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare field evaluation and perform load rating analysis of highway bridges
• Perform design calculations and select engineering procedures to design and analyze structures
• Prepare engineering quantities and generate project cost estimates
• Develop structural drawings, construction details and geometry layouts

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of structural engineering experience for transportation projects
• B.S. in Civil Engineering with course emphasis in Structural Engineering subject from ABET accredited university
• PE Certification required
• Proficient in CAD (Microstation experience a plus) and structural analysis/design software
• Working knowledge of DOT specifications a plus; Diverse client experience in additional McCormick Taylor markets also beneficial
