Position Summary
McCormick Taylor is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Training in South Carolina to assist in the detailed design and delivery of projects and tasks related to stormwater management, flood studies, flood mitigation projects, roadway drainage, MS4 Program Management, and erosion and sediment control. This successful candidate can work out of either our Charleston, SC or Columbia, SC office locations and will have the opportunity for remote work with flexible office and work schedules.

Responsibilities
- Performs Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling using some or all of the following: WinTR-55/TR-20, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, OpenRoads, PondPack, StormCAD, PCSWMM
- Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of water resources related projects including stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control and drainage designs that are in accordance with SCDOT, SCDES, and/or county or municipal requirements
- Analysis and design of stormwater management facilities, hydraulic structures, and roadway drainage systems
- Work in collaboration with a design team on multi-discipline-based projects
- Performing independent tasks, reviewing technical work of others
- Communicate and coordinate with regulatory agencies during the development of project designs and calculations
- 1-7 years of experience
- BS Degree Required in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Water Resources
- MS in Water Resources, Environmental Eng. a plus
- PE is a plus, EIT strongly desired
- Strong understanding of Hydrologic and Hydraulic principles and practices
- Experience using MicroStation (V8i, CONNECT, ORD) and/or AutoCAD and GIS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Strong communications and technical writing skills
- Experience working effectively in a team atmosphere
