Pay Range: Starting at $16.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience

Job Responsibilities
As the Insurance Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact, setting the tone for an exceptional optical journey. Your responsibilities will include:- Greet patients, check patients in and out
- Schedule patient appointments; ensure smooth flow
- Gather medical history and reason for the visit
- Verify insurance information for each patient
- Answer and forward all calls; oversee voicemail and messages
- Prepare patients to be seen by the Optometrist
- Assist the Optometrist as needed during examinations
- Show patients how to properly care for contact lens
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have 6 months prior experience in an Optometry, Ophthalmology or Medical office practice
- Friendly and outgoing with the ability to connect with a diverse group of people
- Efficient, organized and resourceful with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of computer operations; proficient in basic word processing, data entry and automated records
Salary : $16 - $17
