POSITION OVERVIEW
The Customer Business Manager I will be responsible for developing programs and initiatives to achieve volume objectives, budgets, and strategic planning goals. Customer collaboration is a key responsibility to the success of this position. This role will work within McCormick’s US Consumer Products Division. This role is located in our Cincinnati Regional office and candidates must live within a 2-hour commutable distance or be willing to relocate. This role is responsible for a Strategic Customer in the Midwest on various categories, and reports into the Customer Business Manager III.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain relationships within customers.
- Manage Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving principles at accounts to drive sales and reach company and customer yearly goals.
- Understand various data sources to deliver category expertise to customers and optimize trade plans.
- Integrate digital promotional plans to in-store programming to surround customer with McCormick brand messaging.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- 4 years Sales, Marketing, or related experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing customer base.
- Robust analytical, problem solving, communication & organization skills.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills.
- Understanding of how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas – marketing, supply chain and finance.
- Understanding of CPG industry sector and competitive landscape required.
- Valid drivers license.
- Must be willing to relocate for future opportunity.
