McCorvey Sheet Metal is a family-owned and operated construction company that specializes in the fabrication and installation of sheet metal ductwork. We are located in Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Orlando, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Nashville. McCorvey works primarily on larger projects such as healthcare facilities, research labs, sports stadiums, hospitality, government, education, and many other vertical markets. We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and efficient employee to become our next Senior Project Manager.
In this role, you will report to the Project Executive and General Manager, and you will work with the project team through clear communication, understand all aspects of the project, and set projects on a path to success.
Job Responsibilities :
- Goal – Run overall projects efficiently and effectively to ensure success
- Communicate with field foreman daily, “minimum” to update the project schedule with the current field updates
- Oversee all day-to-day operations for project assigned
- Jobsite visit as required
- Attend Internal / External meetings as required
- Provide weekly updates to each client
- Create project submittals. Shared duty with VDC, both team members thoroughly understand scope & specs
- Request submittals from vendors and mechanical contractors. Forward vendor submittals for Approval, resubmit as necessary and issue a PO when returned approved
- Review schedule and update Project Task Sheet (Shared duties with VDC)
- Facilitate Kickoff Meeting with office / field
- Maintain current project sheet information via Smartsheet, Project Tasks, PO’s, IR log, Production log, and Shop Cheat sheet
- Update Equipment Tracking Log in Smartsheet with delivery dates
- Release all duct equipment with VDC confirmation (VAVs, FDs, Grilles, etc.)
- Request standard lead time pricing, freight, and quick ship pricing options from vendors
- Assist with equipment take-offs (VDC to prepare take-offs)
- Coordinate with field on upcoming deliveries and batch priorities
- Coordinate / Request / Log Leakage Testing
- Keep and maintain a current set of Mechanical & Shop Drawings for every project assigned via Smartsheet
- Efficient / Accurate document control
- Submit RFI’s and maintain log
- Monthly Billings per Schedule of Values
- Update new project schedule using assigned software
- Assemble change proposals for processing. Review & update cost proposal logs. Send monthly to client
- Possess negotiation skills
- High level of knowledge pertaining to building and construction
- Being a role model to project managers in skills and leadership
- Assign tasks to Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers
This role encompasses a range of duties that may evolve based on project requirements. The candidate is expected to take on additional tasks as needed to ensure project success.
