What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Engineer position at McCourt Construction Company?
McCourt Construction, a Boston-based General Highway Contractor with a rich history dating back to our founding in 1893, is seeking an experienced Office Engineer to join our team. We pride ourselves on tackling the Northeast’s most complex civil projects, with a heavy civil division dedicated to improving our nation’s infrastructure and an Energy Division focused on expanding America’s electric, gas, and steam networks.
Duties will include RFIs, submittals, constructability reviews, drawing accuracy reviews, redesigns where necessary, managing subs and suppliers, document management, cost control, surveys, scheduling, and other tasks required to complete projects.
Applicants should have the following qualifications,
- Ability to deal with people from the labor force to negotiating with the customer
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- Be computer literate (experience with Auto Cad and other industry-related programs is a plus)
- Have a desire to work in a team environment and work collaboratively to get the job done
