About the Role:

 The HR Data Analyst is an essential part of our small, nimble HR team. The primary focus will be maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our HR data, analytics and systems, while also prioritizing client service and enhancing the employee experience. In this role you will be the key point of contact and accountable for all benefits, payroll and employee metrics/reporting matters across the McCourt enterprise.   

This role is an exciting opportunity to gain broad insight into all areas of HR including benefits, payroll and compensation, budget and headcount planning, employee engagement and retention, long term incentive plans, 401(k) administration and compliance with state and federal employment law. Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of HR metrics and systems, exceptional problem solving and technical data skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment with an evolving organizational structure. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Data Analysis, Reporting and Integrity: 

  • Support workforce planning by reporting and analyzing headcount, budget, and performance metrics to forecast future HR needs.  

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by regularly auditing and updating HR data and systems.  

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as employee engagement, turnover rates, and demographic metrics. 

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends and provide actionable insights that enhance talent acquisition, retention, and workforce development strategies. 

  • Responsible for employee file maintenance and compliance with document retention requirements. 

Payroll and Benefits: 

  • Execute payroll for all McCourt entities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls. 

  • Answer employee payroll-related inquiries, including questions about wages, deductions, and time records.  

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records. 

  • Support new hire orientations by providing a high-touch onboarding experience including payroll, taxes, and benefit enrollment. 

  • Respond to employee benefit related questions regarding enrollment, life status changes, 401(k) administration, etc.  

  • Administer and manage leave-of-absence requests in compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state laws, and make recommendations for policy updates. 

  • Partner with HR Sr Manager on annual benefits open enrollment, conducting analyses to recommend competitive benefit programs. Prepares analysis to share with senior management.  

 Compensation: 

  • Works closely with CHRO and HR Sr Manager on year-end compensation planning; preparing compensation models, and participate in market data preparation and analysis. 

  • Partners with HR Sr Manager and finance department to maintain payroll budgets each quarter. 

 Required Skills and Experience: 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Data Analyst role with a focus on HR Systems  

  • Exceptional proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) and the ability to build complex models for data analysis 

  • Strong knowledge of HR metrics, practices, and compliance standards 

  • Ability to interpret complex data, provide insights, and present findings clearly 

  • Meticulous attention to detail with proficiency in detecting and resolving data discrepancies  

  • Experience with HRIS systems, data visualization tools, and reporting tools 

  • Service-focused with the ability to build trusted relationships with employees while effectively supporting their benefits and payroll needs 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field with emphasis on data analysis, visualization and predictive modeling 

 

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually. The actual salary offer will be determined on factors including the qualifications, experience, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This role is also eligible for an incentive bonus.
