We’re looking for a hands-on problem solver to join our Smart Products Assembly Team full-time!
Someone who’s mechanically inclined, thrives in a team environment, and has a sharp eye for detail. If you’re passionate about building high-performance products and enjoy working with your hands (and your head), we’d love to hear from you.
The Assembly Technician, Smart Products will be responsible for assembling and testing manufactured components in their final stage of production. This position will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans. Performs functions such as test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly. In addition, they may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process, collect design data and assist in research work.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 1-year experience in mechanics, hydraulic and electrical controls
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is an asset
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer literacy
What you’ll do:
- Assembles Wellbore equipment and related sub-assemblies and components assembly fixtures
- Connects auxiliary component parts. Cable, lines, and accessory units to Wellbore equipment according to blueprints and assembly procedures
- Fits, trims, aligns, and adjusts parts and components
- Grinds
- Tests installed parts and accessories for leakage, continuity, and functionality
- Reworks, repairs, or replaces faulty components
- Installs valve packages, gears, motors, or other structural assembly
- Other duties as assigned
