About the Job

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the finance team by providing accurate financial reporting, conducting analysis, and developing financial models to aid budgeting, planning, and strategic decision-making.

This position involves collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with company objectives and facilitating ERP updates and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models and reporting to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budget-to-actual financial reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather financial information and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Provide financial projections to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present to executive leadership and board members.
• Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
• Develop and maintain business processes to ensure internal controls.
• Facilitate ERP updates and testing as well as implementation of new functionality.
• Other assignments and duties as assigned by management.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Must have a current driver's license and auto liability insurance.
• Occasional travel to store locations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years related financial planning and analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MBA or CPA certification.
• Workday and Adaptive Planning experience, preferred.
• Experience in the retail or construction industry.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds at times.
• Standard office hours apply with occasional weekends and holidays.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
