Job Description
The Yard Crewmember will assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products, and provide general store support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the yard.
- Load and unload products into customers, vendors, and company vehicles safely and accurately.
- Respond to customer's questions regarding products.
- Maintain a clean and organized lumberyard and warehouse.
- Operate a forklift and perform routine safety checks.
Requirements:
- Able to carry out instructions without supervision.
- Professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Knowledge of weight distribution and loading patterns.
- Forklift operator certification required.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of standing and moving around the yard and warehouse.
- Lifting up to 80 pounds, occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in various types of weather.
Salary:
$16.50 per hour.
