Job Type: Part Time
Compensation: $18 per Hour
Job Overview:
The Yard Crewmember will provide exceptional customer service, operate a forklift, and maintain store inventory in our lumberyard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with product inquiries.
- Load and unload products safely and accurately.
- Respond to customer concerns and notify management promptly.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Operate a forklift and perform routine safety checks.
- Cut lumber and other materials as requested by customers.
- Attend training sessions and meetings.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of weight distribution and loading patterns.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and push/pull 50 pound loads.
- Forklift operator certification and successful completion of on-the-job training.
Work Environment:
Prolonged standing and movement required. May need to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in various types of weather.
