What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afterschool Tutor: Certified-Math position at McCreary County Schools?
Assist with the implementation of the literacy block
- Work with Literacy Coordinator to plan or follow the plan of appropriate activities according to various reading levels of the children
- Participate in either guided independent reading practice time, or daily read-aloud and fluency-building activities during the after school and summer programs
- Attend at least one training concerning best practices in guided independent reading practice time, daily read-aloud and fluency-building activities
- If applicable, attend at least one training concerning best practices in the implementation of the Emergent Reader Literacy Block
- Communicate regularly with the Literacy Coordinator
Assist in the implementation of Accelerated Reader, if applicable
