Job Summary
McCreary Modern is looking for a supervisor for a new motion upholstery line. In this salary position, you will be responsible for developing processes, layout of production area, and working with HR to hire and develop a workforce for this new production area. The job will require working with product development and managing the production process from start to completion, including packing. You will be responsible for your team producing quality product on time, ensuring a safe working environment. You will need to be self-driven, lead by example, and work together as a team.
This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the upholstery department to meet production goals.
- Train and mentor team members in the use of hand tools and power tools for upholstery tasks.
- Oversee the assembly line processes, ensuring that all products meet quality specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies necessary for upholstery projects.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations within the workspace.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to equipment and machinery used in the upholstery process.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to guarantee high-quality standards.
Experience
- 5 years' experience in motion upholstery (includes recliners, power motion sectional pieces, power sofas and loveseats).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in leadership and management in the upholstery industry.

Pay: $26.45 - $28.32 per hour
