Construction Inspector - Civil Engineering

McCrory and Williams, Inc is seeking a Construction Inspector for Civil Engineering to join our Mobile, AL office to support on-going projects and work on all types of civil/municipal engineering projects, more concentrated in potable water and sanitary sewer systems, municipal infrastructure and civil site development projects.

Responsibilities:

This individual will work on all types of civil/municipal engineering construction projects including grading, roadway, storm water management systems, water and sanitary sewer, civil sites/site development and erosion and sediment control. The job may also require maintaining daily inspection reporting, photographs, construction pay estimate documentation, estimating, understanding construction plans and specifications, preparing as-built sketches/drawings, participating in meetings with Clients and/or Municipal Entities/Regulatory Agencies, conducting permit/final walk through inspections, etc.

Minimum Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to obtain QCI Certification.
• Previous experience preferred of 4 years in municipal infrastructure consulting and construction engineering inspection.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, a sense of urgency, organized, versatile, and a strong desire/ability to work as a team to grow with a small company.
• Working knowledge of Word/Excel.
• Working knowledge/understanding of construction plans and specifications
• Experience with water resources/water distribution systems/sanitary sewer collection systems and civil site development preferred.
• Ability to efficiently perform on fast-tracked municipal infrastructure projects as needed.
• Ability to respond to emergency projects at any time as needed.
