Estimator - Trainee

Join the MCCS National team as an Estimator and contribute to the success of our clients by accurately assessing damages and preparing detailed estimates. In this role, you will be responsible for creating estimates and supplements using Xactimate or Symbility software, compiling comprehensive supporting documentation, and collaborating with file agent associates to ensure efficient and successful claim processing. Qualifications

• Previous experience in estimating, preferably in the insurance restoration or construction industry.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven ability to manage time effectively.
• Demonstrates good character, reliability, and a positive attitude in all aspects of work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately assess damages and prepare comprehensive estimates.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and handle sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
• Expertise in using estimating software, such as Xactimate, and proficiency in interpreting insurance policies and coverage requirements preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

• Utilize Xactimate software to create accurate estimates and supplements for property damage claims.
• Prepare detailed supporting documentation, including photographs, measurements, and itemized lists, to justify estimate amounts.
• Collaborate with adjusters, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Advocate for the accuracy and validity of estimates during discussions with adjusters, contractors, and clients.
• Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and pricing trends to ensure estimates are current and competitive.
• Provide guidance to file agents on estimating processes, Xactimate usage, and documentation requirements, and provide feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
• Performing other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
