We are launching a non-profit women's treatment center in central Maine and would like to write the story of the namesake of the facility as a testimonial and hopefully an inspiration to other women. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and research skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content across various formats. This role requires a commitment to clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established style guidelines. As a Writer, you will play a crucial role in communicating our message effectively and engaging our audience.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling and informative written content for various platforms, including articles, blogs, reports, and marketing materials.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and depth in all written pieces.
- Edit and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, style consistency, and factual accuracy.
- Collaborate with those interviewed to develop content.
- Utilize copy editing skills to refine drafts and enhance readability.
- Fact-check information to maintain credibility and reliability in all publications.
- Communicate effectively with contributors to the biography and testimonies to gather information and clarify project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in writing across different formats with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in word processing software and familiarity with editing tools.
- Excellent research abilities to support content development.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional proofreading skills to ensure error-free writing.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
