Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Location : Carrollton, GA
About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in Carrollton, Georgia vibrant community that offers an excellent quality of life. In this role, you will be responsible for managing EHS compliance and program implementation at our Level 1 facility. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace by providing regulatory expertise, driving proactive improvements, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for proactive improvements within defined value streams and implement action plans.
- Lead and sustain compliance programs, EHS management processes, and engagement programs (ISO, OHSAS, VPP).
- Develop and implement processes to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards to meet local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct EHS investigations, root cause analyses, and develop corrective actions for near misses, injuries / illnesses, and environmental incidents.
- Maintain regulatory recordkeeping, reporting, and case management for compliance assurance.
- Provide and track training on health, safety, and environmental policies, practices, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Manage and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to leading and lagging safety metrics.
- Oversee compliance with air, water, and waste regulations, including DOT requirements, within defined value streams.
- Ensure alignment with company-wide EHS policies and procedures.
- Serve as the Emergency Response Coordinator , coordinating emergency services and contractors. This includes 24 / 7 on-call duty.
