Position Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in an  asset management environment  to join our team in Boston, MA . This role involves the development and maintenance of software applications that support Investment Operations and Enterprise Data Management initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience in full-stack software development utilizing various languages including C# and Python , financial systems , and a solid background in investment operations and portfolio accounting data . This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence in our Boston office three days a week.

What You'll Do :

  • Act as an individual contributor with some leadership responsibilities.
  • Collaborate in an agile team to enhance, support, and develop new software applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide approvals to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on specific applications and platforms.
  • Analyze business workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, risk reduction, and capability advancement.
  • Work with investment middle office data , including portfolio accounting and transaction data processing.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom data interfaces and full-stack applications using cloud-native technologies .
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

What Were Looking For :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (MS or advanced degree preferred).
  • 5 to 6 years of experience in software development.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and Python .
  • Experience working with financial services datasets , specifically portfolio accounting data .
  • Expertise in cloud-native application development , preferably on AWS , utilizing various cloud services.
  • Experience with  cloud based databases  such as Aurora, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and DynamoDB .
