Currently, we are seeking a Turf Healthcare Technician who is career-minded, detail-oriented and takes pride in a job well done. The ideal candidate will be independently driven, enjoys learning new things, is a lover of the outdoors, and is self-motivated. In this role, you will serve as a key applicator for residential customers, ensuring professional and compassionate customer service. The candidate will be in the field daily during the season, ensuring lawns are performing well and representing our commitment to green and safer lawns. While prior experience is useful, it is not required. Training will be provided.
This position’s main responsibilities run March through December, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. The position will mainly involve applying nutrients to residential lawns. During the months of September and part of October, the applicator will also aerate and seed some properties as an important part of our fall season lawn revival and seeding efforts. We are known for our commitment to reviving lawns during the fall season. Winter applications are also applied for preventative care.
Primary Responsibilities for a Turf Healthcare Technician
- Apply cutting-edge, organic / natural-based fertilizers to residential lawns using both liquid and granular products.
- Mix & Apply weed control treatments when and if needed.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping on paper and electronically.
- Work closely with fellow team members and participate in ongoing training sessions during the season.
- Monitor and assess the conditions of residential lawns and provide recommendations to improve performance.
- Maintain equipment efficiency to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist team in managing the warehouse and storage needs of the business.
- Use hand tools, small equipment, and heavy machines as needed.
- Attend classes required to maintain license and expand knowledge
- During off peak seasons, will help other teams in horticulture and landscape services.
