Job Description:
To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be a current student enrolled at McDaniel College. This position is open to work study students only.

Reports to: Cathy Gunther
Department: Academic Life
Salary Grade: Minimum Wage
FSLA Status: Non-exempt
Location of Position: Elderdice Hall, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157
Duration of Appointment: 9/11/2024-5/21/2025
Schedule: Schedule is at discretion of supervisor
Evaluation Procedures: Student workers are evaluated on a continuing basis
Scope: Provide administrative support to Academic Life
Responsibilities:
- Greeting students and guests, answering phones, making copies, distributing mail, compiling informational materials, supporting the Student Success and Support Team members
- Excellent customer service to students, parents, faculty and staff during phone and face to face interaction.
- Assist with scanning of office documents into Image Now
- Other duties as assigned
Scheduling:
Student must be available 5-10 hours a week, preferably during the lunch hours.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Current student at McDaniel College.
- Preference will be given to a work study student.
- Able to use Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to assess and handle phone calls, and visitor requests with discretion and positive attitude
- Must sign and comply with the Student Worker Statement of Understanding of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Punctual when scheduled to work
