Job Overview
McDermott has an opening for a Construction Coordinator (Workforce Planner) in Sabine Pass TX. The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for systematically align the engineering, materials, equipment, workforce and construction resources in general. The Construction Coordinator will work directly with the Area Construction Manager and field supervision to review resource needs and produce a weekly work plan to ensure an efficient productivity driven by the construction schedule and aiming to meet completion dates.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Review engineering work packages and provide feedback to engineering team
- Review work area boundaries and scope, divide and group into executable 2–3-week work packages
- Interface with other disciplines to align preceding and succeeding tasks
- Keep installation work package dates and durations up to date using computer-based tools
- Interface with project scheduling to review and update level 3 construction activities’ dates and durations
- Lead field supervision to execute tasks to meet or exceed construction schedule requirements
- Interface with materials team to place requests and track deliveries to support construction with an uninterrupted workflow
- Generate forecasted work plans and manpower needs to ensure staffing needs are met
- Capture and report field installation progress through computer-based tools
- Conduct planification meetings with field supervision and area managers to review and discuss forecasted work plan, provide input and sequencing advice
- Interface with quantity surveyors to resolve budgeting and scope needs
- Constraint tracking and removal for construction and installation work packages
- Interface with completions team to review and close out installation work packages using computer-based tools
- Audit field reported progress by performing walk downs in specific construction areas
