Job Overview:
The Principal Tech Services Specialist is responsible for interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex Tech Services-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Tech Services Specialist may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in Tech Services. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in Tech Services as well as broad knowledge of the Tech Services discipline within the Onshore Construction function.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Construction Manager in all issues pertaining to all site-related activities, as directed
- Assist the General Superintendent in all matters relating to engineering Information
- Keep the Construction Manager and General Superintendent properly informed of the engineering and construction changes and their resolutions
- Assist on the preparation of Site Change Orders
- Coordinate with the Completions Manager on discipline activities
- Coordinate with Site QA/QC Manager on final inspection and punch list
- Supervise the Site Document Management Department and ensure that project personnel adhere to correspondence and filing system guidelines
- Facilitate preparation of drawings for special construction equipment, scaffolds, workstations, and construction aids
- Arrange for procurement, fabrication, and installation of the required items
- Manage all correspondence concerning questions or issues between Engineering and Construction through a Request for Information (RFI) system for document tracking and control
- Close out all RFIs and incorporate into the turnover systems for care and custody to the Client
- Capture progress daily in WorkFace Planning software from information provided by Foremen/General Foremen
- Conduct weekly planning meetings with their Superintendents to determine work to be executed in the upcoming three weeks
- Generate weekly work plans on an IWP level with General Foremen/Superintendents' direct input and record them in the WorkFace Planning system
- Request material by submitting WRFIs by IWP to material management prior to the execution date and tracking material delivery
- Record and communicate Lessons Learned captured on IWPs
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
- Approximately 7 to 10 years of experience in construction
- Intermediate knowledge of company construction procedures, progress systems, material management systems, document management and timekeeping systems
- Ability to promote and drive work process and culture change on company’s projects
- Leadership skills
- Advanced understanding of construction sequencing and construction techniques
- A self-confident team player who is comfortable dealing with people at all levels in the organization
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Respected for uncompromising integrity, work ethic, and professionalism
- Energetic with a positive and enthusiastic disposition, possessing a can-do attitude
- Project-focused, values-oriented, and results-driven
- Advanced MS Office skills, specifically with Excel and Access
