About your role :
As an internal advisor, it is your responsibility to accurately annotate all information that pertains to the vehicle during the reconditioning process. This will assist with the effective communication with sales about the vehicle location and status. This starts with the initial pre inspection walk around that must be performed first thing every morning regardless of weather. As an internal advisor, you will ensure all mechanical and cosmetics needs are communicated to the appraisal team. Organization is key, booking repairs orders for technician flag hours is of the upmost importance when it comes to this position.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities :
- Physically walk all incoming trades and identify and major cosmetics or mechanical concerns.
- Assisting sales staff with service needs and communicating essential services to the appraisal team for all inventory units.
- Annotating all cosmetics and identifying the most cost effective repairs to better merchandise the vehicle.
- Provides concierge support for all sales staff, along with answering any mechanical inquiries they might have.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs on all inventory units.
- Ensures the daily inventory of technicians’ time is consistently sold to appraisal team.
- Distributes work between technicians efficiently.
- Answers technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
- Assists in diagnosing vehicle problems and orders parts and tools as necessary.
- Oversees the administration of warranty claims and training and supervises the Recon department.
- Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
- Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborates with upper management to make Recon department hiring and discipline decisions.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
