About your role :
The Technician performs accurate diagnostics on all makes and models of automobiles and provides fast, accurate, high-quality, efficient mechanical repairs.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities :
- Diagnoses and repairs vehicles to specifications, ensuring they are safe to drive by test-driving vehicles, testing components and systems, and using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
- Examines vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions.
- Tears down, repair, replace, and / or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Disassembles units and inspects parts for wear using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Rewires ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
- Closely inspect parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, and other items.
- Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
- Follows Company safety policies and practices and immediately reports all accidents to the Manager / Supervisor.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
- Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.
