- The Facility Maintenance Technician at MCDONALD COMPANIES is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all building systems and equipment. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for employees and visitors. The technician will perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of building facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders submitted by staff or management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of building systems.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
- Provide support for facility upgrades and renovations as required.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Vocational training or certification in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
- Proven experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Experience working in a commercial or industrial environment is advantageous.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair facility-related issues efficiently.
- Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
