Food Packager

McDonald's Meats is growing! We are looking for great people to join our team. You can earn up to 3 raises in the first year based upon your performance.

HOURS: Part-time – semi-flexible schedule. Tuesday - Friday must begin work by 9:00 am to approximately 4:00 pm (day ends when all work completed)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Acceptable math skills (must be able to perform basic math quickly and accurately without the use of a calculator or similar device)
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a regular basis
• Standing for long periods of time
• Repetitive motion with hand and arms
• Compliance with personal hygiene regulations of the Minnesota Food Code
• Working in 50 degrees F production area for entire shift

No experience in required, just be willing and eager to learn!

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Unload smokehouse trucks and prepare products for packaging
• Package and label meat products (beef, pork, chicken, turkey, wild game, waterfowl, fish, seafood and others) according customer specifications and/or inventory needs
• Create, verify accuracy, and adjust product labels as needed
• Assist with tracking and controlling inventory of products
• Operate packaging equipment
• Assist with quality assurance testing
• Washing of hands/arms multiple times daily per industry health standards
• Cleaning and sanitizing of work areas and equipment according to industry health standards
• Maintain equipment as needed (Thermoformer, Vacuum Packaging Machines, etc)
• Assist with other jobs in any department as needed
