What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Construction Superintendent position at McDonald Service Enterprises?
Rural projects on pipeline ROW's that involve clearing/grubbing, placement of rip-rap/boulders, goe-fabric, etc. utilizing heavy equipment and survey equipment while following engineered specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders
- Collaborate with shareholders, engineers, and other professionals to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Manage project budget and expenses
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in demonstrating and presenting proposals and projects
- Highly organized with strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Familiarity with contract management and construction estimating processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
