McDowell Center for Children (a UHS facility):
McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility and our outpatient facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Education: LCSW or LPC eligible, PhD, or RN-Licensure, Master’s prepared from an accredited college or university. Previous experience in Mental Health related filed preferred. Ph.D. or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. A minimum of three (3) years of managing a professional/clinical team and responsible for staffing, budget, and process improvements. Must possess knowledge of marketing and targeting referral resources.
