Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As an essential member of our road maintenance crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment to perform various tasks on road sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to operate a variety of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, tractors safely and efficiently to complete tasks on construction sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and to identify any potential issues.
- Load and unload materials such as dirt, rocks, and other materials using heavy equipment.
- Dig trenches and excavate areas using heavy machinery.
- Bulldoze and grade sites as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines while operating equipment.
- Collaborate with other crew members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Experience:
- Proven experience in operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment, including loader operation and backhoe operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Physical stamina to withstand the demands of operating heavy equipment for extended periods.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including tractors.
- Ability to dig and bulldoze construction sites as needed.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and commercial driving regulations.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a variety of weather conditions.

Pay: $15.38 - $23.07 per hour
