Ground Maintenance Worker

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our grounds team. This role involves maintaining the grounds of our facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping and groundskeeping, with a focus on hardscapes, and tree care.

Duties

- Perform a variety of groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, pruning, weeding, and edging.
- Maintain hardscapes, including walkways, patios, and retaining walls.
- Care for trees, including pruning and planting.
- Operate power tools and equipment, such as lawn mowers, and chain saws.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any grounds maintenance issues.
- Work with the landscaping team to ensure that all landscaping maintenance is completed according to schedule.
- Keep records of maintenance tasks and equipment usage.
- Participate in snow plowing duties during the winter months.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain the grounds in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep the grounds clean and free of debris.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices.
- Experience with hardscape construction and maintenance.
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Experience with tree care and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of snow plowing techniques and best practices.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic repairs.
- Experience with landscape maintenance and upkeep.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
