POSITION SUMMARY

Operations & Retail Specialists will oversee various activities such as receiving, sorting, loading and unloading, and shipping products. They will organize stock, maintain inventory, and process, pack, and ship orders. They will assist customers in the retail Parker Store setting by providing product recommendations, answering questions, alerting customers to product options and expanding sales revenues by up-selling support programs and product accessories. Keen attention to detail is a must.

Essential Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sales fulfillment center associates to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped in accordance with designated delivery schedules.
• Sort and place product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin codes or other predetermined orders – for example, type, size, color, etc. In warehouse and merchandising locations of storefront.
• Ensure customer orders are pulled accurately from stock according to purchase orders and/or shipping tickets and seen through shipping with common carriers
• Responsible for auditing and maintaining daily/weekly/monthly reports to account for all sales orders and inventory
• Operate equipment (forklift, pallet movers) as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
• Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures
• Travel to various Parker store locations to serve as back-up support
• Ability to complete assigned Parker Learning Institute (PLI) courses and maintain Platinum level standards per the Parker Store Evaluation (PSET)
• Ability to troubleshoot and make suggestions for continuous improvement initiatives and customer solutions
• Ability to mentor warehouse associates interested in Retail and enforce Standard Operating Procedures throughout warehouse environment
• Ability to work with walk-in and telephone customers to help solve their industrial and mobile hose/fitting needs
• Performs other related duties as assigned
  
  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position does not require formal supervisory responsibilities.
• Will be working within a team environment, where influence without authority will be critical – Team Motivator
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists and/or shipping lists
• Basic computer skills such as data entry, and using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control
• Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass an MVR driving check
• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer skills required: Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems
  
  

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position are typical for a medium work warehouse environment including frequent movement about the warehouse/office, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment for this position is typical for a warehouse including occasional exposure to loud noise and outside temperatures of heat/cold. The environment may occasionally include exposure to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and working on scaffolding or high places.
